The application period for the grants is 1.5.-31.5.2023. and during the application period personal grants can be applied for doctoral studies aiming at a PhD degree. The research grants are intended for full-time research work (grant based) and may not be used for covering research materials or other research related costs. Grants will not be awarded to postdoctoral research.

RESEARCH PLAN
 
A high-quality plan is fundamental and a necessary part of the scientific studies activities. Instructions regarding the different parts of the research plan are listed below. All the information should be given in English unless otherwise stated.
 
1. Title:
  • The title in English.
2. Background and state-of the art:
  • Briefly describe the doctoral thesis project, the state-of-the art and key problems in the current knowledge of the research field in question.
3. Research objectives and hypothesis
  • Define and describe the objectives of the project and sub-projects, and how the sub-projects are linked together.
  • Describe clear aim and hypothesis.
4. Research methods
  • Provide a general description of the materials, methods, expected problems and alternative solutions.
5. Site of research and collaboration
  • Give the site of research.
  • Describe the research infrastructure, possible network, and collaboration (both national and international).
6. Implementation and timetable
  • Describe the schedule of the research work to be carried out with the help of this grant, the overall timeline of the doctoral thesis project and current state of the project.
  • Describe a realistic and as clearly defined timetable for the studies and (sub)projects as possible
7. Funding plan
  • Provide a detailed description of how you plan to use the applied funding, including the exact time period when you plan to work (full time) on this grant.
  • The research grants are intended for full-time research work (grant based) and may not be used for covering research materials or other research related costs.
